James Garner, the Actor who is most known for starring in The Rockford Files as well as Maverick has now undergone surgery after the star suffered a minor stroke. Garner now 80 suffered a stroke while at his home last Friday where he was then taken to Los Angeles-area hospital, he underwent surgery last Sunday and the prognosis is looking good as the surgery was described as positive. Garner’s publicist Jennifer Allen has said that his vital signs looked good and that he is both conscious and responsive, it is hoped that James will be able to be discharged from hospital soon.
No other information about his condition is available or any details of how serious the stroke was. It is such a shame when we hear something like this; James Garner has always been a larger than life person playing parts of the smooth yet rugged type who the ladies just loved. I hate it when I hear of people having a stroke as this is something that is very close to me. A few years ago my aunt had a stroke, and she has never been able to fully get over it. It is so hard to see a person after they have had a stroke, some people do make a full recovery, but some like my aunt do not. It is horrible looking at someone who you are close to and love so much going from someone who was full of life and ambition, into someone who is just a shadow of their former self.
The thing is I know that she is fine in her mind and that she still has the same ambitions, but your body is not able to do what your mind wishes it too.
