Miley Cyrus aka Hannah Montana has hit back at accusations that she ripped off a LA band’s song because she does not write any of her own music. On Wednesday the LA band Lustra has said that Miley’s song Rockstar is a carbon copy of their Scotty Doesn’t Know tune.
The band whose song is the soundtrack to the 2004 movie Eurotrip was alerted to Miley’s song-similarities by their fans, and they have since determined the tunes are virtually the same, despite the mismatching lyrics.
A spokesperson for Miley said that “She doesn’t write the songs - she sings them. We have referred this to Disney.” It’s said that at the moment the band are considering various options to rectify this situation.
So ok she does not write her own songs but many bands don’t but what I do know is they are meant to get the original song writers permission to sing the song and it seems that this was not done. There are a number of different songs out their that sound the same but have different lyrics so I guess that this is just another one to add to the collection.
What do you think will be the out come of this?

I have a number of original songs I’m willing to give Miley, and I won’t even take any credit for them. I’m really not a musician, but the tunes I’ve created are real good and will definitely give her some hits.
But I’ll only give them to Miley.
So, if you’re interested, Miley, let me know. I’m serious.

I would because it’s important that the music be heard one day and I won’t just give it to anyone because I’m very certain that at least two or three of the songs would do very well.
Of course, I don’t really expect Miley to contact me.
If I have to work at getting them out myself I know it could take years. So I was just thinking that with Miley at least it wouldn’t take so long and the songs seem made for her to sing.
