Shia LaBeouf to play lead in Indiana Jones 5: Will Harrison Ford be missed?

The red carpet is not even out for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and George Lucas has already been talking about making Indiana Jones 5. Ok so it was obvious that he would want to make another, as the newest movie looks set to go down a storm. It seems that this is a dream that Lucas has not shared with pal Steven Spielberg or even Harrison Ford yet, the reason could be because Lucas has been thinking about placing Shia LaBeouf in the lead role, taking over from Ford who has always played Indy.

It looks as though George has plans for Harrison to have a smaller part, Lucas would like to see him come back and play a role much like the one that Sean Connery played in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. I think that this is a very bold move that Lucas is trying to pull, one that I think will not go down with the fans of Indiana Jones, and no one can replace Indy. If this were to happen then all the recent rumors that Mutt Williams who is played by LaBeouf, about him being Indy’s love child might actually be true.

Sorry if I have frightened you Indiana Jones fans out there, just to allow you to sleep tonight Ford has said that he has no plans of hanging up his fedora and whip just yet, unless he is told otherwise.

  1. I think that this Indiana Jones was the worst one so far but if Shia Lebouf plays the next Indiana Jones then I will feel that there was something good that came from this poorly written movie. I like Shia and the characters that he plays and with his excellent acting skills this will be the perfect role for him to play to move into the mainstream of adult actors.

  2. The movie is not that worse, not as lame as the temple of doom(sorry)But I must admit this one is way far fetched,I mean UFO’s?,I dont agree that Shia should replace Ford,Beleive me when I say It’s not a ” GOOD IDEA “.As to Lucas saying that there’s a possibility of a 5th installment,it should be a very good script.,It BETTER BE!!!

  3. Obviously not big Indiana Jones fans. I have enjoyed all of the story lines for Indiana Jones, 4 was pretty good, was just glad to see Indi again, but The Last Crusade was still the best!
Though I like Shia and his acting skills, I do not like the idea of him carrying on this adventure, it should just end with Harrison Ford. Let it be, dont pound it into the ground. I just wouldnt be the same.

  4. Indiana Jones With Out Harrison Ford Forget It.Harrison Ford Is The Reason Why Indiana Jones Is So Successful.I Am A Hugh Fan Of Indy With Out Harrison I Would Not Even Go See The Movie.Taking Him Out Would Have The Same Effect As Not Being Able To Eat Yes It Would Be That Devastating.Lucas And Spielberg Would Be The Worlds Biggest Mistake If They Took Harrison Out OF Indiana Jones.Harrison + Indy = Forever!

  5. I hate this idea Lucas has in mind. I like Shia’s role in the fourth film as a greaser and it should stay that way. They should still have Harrison Ford carrying the adventure. Sorry George Lucas, I not satisfied of that idea.
