When it comes to breaking records in the race to become president Barack Obama is right up there, the latest record that the Senator has broken is in his turn out figures for one of his rallies. Some 75,000 people decided to turn up to hear Barack Obama speak at the Portland waterfront for his campaign in the race to the Whitehouse. The crowd was just immense, you could see people covering the lawn from the Waterfront Park to the streetside entry gates right down to the Willamette River.

Fire officials estimated the crowd to be about 60,000 in the park itself, with another 10 to 15,000 lining the streets outside. The best of the action however was in the river by the side of the park, as there were girls dressed just in their Bikinis on boats. Obama’s speech lasted about 30 minutes, which was tough in itself as the sun was beating down on him and his audience. Many of his key notes in the speech got some applause, however it was only when he denounced the Iraq war that Barack got his biggest response, the thing is Oregon is very big on anti-war activism. It seems that so many people like Obama, at one point someone in the audience shouted out that they love Barack, which he stopped his speech to reply “I Love you too.”

Barack Obama is certainly turning up the heat in his race to the Whitehouse, do you think he will go all the?

  1. whoever wrote this needs to go back to english class and learn where to put commas and when to use a period. I had to read each sentence 3 times to figure out what you were trying to say.
