Britain’s Got Talent has entered its sixth week and Judge Piers Morgan has said that this year’s competition has no obvious winners so far. Last year Paul Potts was such an obvious favourite to win and that is exactly what he did.
Saturday night’s auditions were held in Birmingham. A man called Peter mimicked Zippy from Rainbow while driving a toy car, as his daughter said that is was very embarrassing. Then there was Susan who had a series of poems about the Queen’s headwear and had gone down badly with the audience. Simon said that “a Continuous poem about hats is a bit limited,” and she replied ‘Not if you’ve got a lot of hats,’ I really don’t think that she understood what he meant bless her.
James Stone who is 52 and a Club singer who sings in bingo halls had the audience in the palm of his hands as he sung the Foghat song I Just Want to Make Love to You, I don’t think that he will be going back in to the Bingo halls do you? What did you think of his performance?
Now the next performance was Schoolboy Daniel Pirie who is just 13 and he done a contemporary ballet routine. He took up dancing for his mum after she had an accident that left her having to use a stick to walk and sometimes a wheel chair. Daniel’s mum was too once a dancer and he said that this is for my mum. I think that children who do something like this is great and should be recognised for the amount of emotion they put in to their performance.
A dance troupe called Flava was fantastic and had all the audience and judges transfixed with their urban dance act. Simon said that he has never seen anything like it. its raw talent and the routine was just as good as he has seen in the US it was fantastic. The routine was put together by one of the dancer’s mums and what a good job she did too. This could be the start of something big for her especially if she has other routines as good as that.
Which is the performance that stood out to you?
