Two Lovers star Joaquin Phoenix has had to miss his Cannes movie premier as he was rushed to hospital with stomach problems. Phoenix was unable to walk along the red carpet with his co-star Gwyneth Paltrow, the stomach problems were caused by being massively dehydrated. Joaquin is said to be very disappointed at missing the premiere of his new movie, the story behind the movie is about a bachelor that is torn between a friend of the family whom they wish for him to marry, and his neighbor.
As yet we are not sure as to when Joaquin Phoenix will be released from hospital, but once he has undergone treatment for his severe vomiting and dehydration, and doctors are happy with his progress, then a further statement will be made. The new movie Two Lovers has had a little controversy, as in the movie co-star Gwyneth Paltrow appears in a raunchy scene, where she reveals one of her breasts. Paltrow plays the part of Joaquin’s neighbor; the nude scene is a part in the movie where she tries to snare him.
It must be the worst time for an actor to get ill, at one of the biggest if not the biggest movie event of the year.
