As we know Cory Edwards is a very busy man, as he is trying to have the screenplay ready for the new upcoming movie version of Fraggle Rock. Edwards has now completed the first 50-pages of the first draft for the movie. The new movie is a collaboration with Weinstein Co. And Jin Henson, it is not known how much will change for the movie version, but it is hoped that all our favourites are back, especially Red.
According to Slash Film, Edwards has said “The outline has been picked at, beat up, and shot at for any major problems. So now I have the freedom to lock myself in my laboratory and create, knowing that I am working from a road map that everyone has signed off on.”
Although there are not many details about the new movie, Edwards has let slip that there is an action scene, something that we are not used to in Fraggle Rock. For those of you who loved the original format of the movie, you will be pleased to hear that the movie will use real puppets as well as live actors, something that is missing from movies like this nowadays.
If you love your musicals, then you are going to love Fraggle Rock as it is music orientated, and will feature a host of original songs. There is one rumour that the Fraggle’s will have to travel in to outer space, so that they can rescue Travelling Matt.
