American Idol Winner David Cook takes over America’s Hot 100 singles chart

This year’s American Idol winner David Cook has taken over America’s Hot 100 singles chart; he has 11-new titles in the chart just one week after winning the show. The old record was set my Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus, where she had six titles in the chart back in 2006. The all-time record is held by the Beatles, at 14 songs in just one week, this was back in 1964, when Beatlmania was sweeping America.
Although Cook did not make it to number one that spot is held by Lil Wayne, with Lollipop. But his song has gone in at number three, The Time of My Life has sold 236,000 downloads, so just imagine what his sales will be once the single hits the stores. Some of his other entries include Dream Big, I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For as well as The World I Know.
This is just the start for David Cook, just imagine what things will be like once he releases his new album in the fall let us hope that fans do not forget about him by then. Runner up of American Idol, David Archuleta, has three songs in the hot 100 singles charts, the highest of which is his cover of John Lennon’s “Imagine, it went in at No.36.
This just shows how much of a phenomenon American Idol is, and these results are all before both finalists release their first albums.

We’re dying to grab David Cook singles and albums soon. We crave for more of him. He is so desirable that the more we get a taste of him, the more we hunger for anything David Cook.

Since I have previously seen some blatant anti-Cook sentiments on this site, I must ask: How do you explain this success?
If Archuleta was supposed to win (which is what has been stated here), why isn’t he the one dominating the charts? Losing didn’t stop Clay Aiken or Chris Daughtry from outselling the winner of their respective seasons immediately after the show was over. So……
Also, keep in mind that the older tracks from Cook were not available for download after his win (so these purchases were made before the outcome of the competition was known), meaning that if Archuleta had won, Cook would have outsold him right out of the box. Just because the kid can sing (albeit somewhat awkwardly), it doesn’t mean that David Archuleta is ready or able to be a star. Maybe someday but now is Cook’s time.
I predict Cook will be one of the most successful Idol winners ever. He has a great voice, an established musical identity, a rabid fan base and his marketability is insane.
Congratulations to David Cook, for proving exactly why you are THE American Idol.
David Cook has the most loved voice and personality. His voice is so beautiful and magical. Powerful but soothing. Like an angel coming down from the celestial heights to perk up goodness and cheer lonely souls.
David Cook is a HERO because he rescues people from loneliness, from feelings of desperation. He is a true artist with a very caring beautiful heart and soul.
When he sings, I can feel how he wants people to be happy. I can feel his love for humanity. He sings with feelings and I can perceive his kindness is genuine and pure.

That is cool. But let’s not get too carried away. He is the only American Idol that is still available for downloads from Itunes. Very clever marketing from AI producers. I guess they would not want Archuleta’s songs to be downloaded and do better as the runner up.
Let’s not get carried away folks. David Cook is NO FREAKING HERO. He is a loud rocker who just won American Idol. If you are that lonely that you think David Cook is either going to date you or save, get a freaking education, a real hobby, and a REAL JOB. I think represents the average American who enjoys loud music, the bad hairdo/unshaved look, not very successful in his life, after all all that talent and only a bartender for years at 26 years old, part of many unsuccessful bands for years, a CD that did not sell. If you think loud music makes you freaks happy, then knock yourselves out. This what we now call American Idols. The YUKKY LOUD GRUNGE? WOW You all can relate I am sure. Nex tthink you know you will be voting for him to become a Saint. Go volunteer your time to a worthy cause, if you have that much time to waste on a rocker. Needless to say, all these lonely women out there, with no real taste in men, who still can’t get a real man, are fantasizing (because he is single) of being with a rocker. WOW that is American. A real hero is someone who is giving their lives for your stupid freedom. Spent more time itolizing those men and women and get a real life. GEEEZ.

Desperation for something to do in America, PRICELESS! You won’t go vote for Senators or President, but you will spend all night voting for loud freaky singers. WOW! You must all be so proud to look at what you have accomplished. All the losers can probably relate to this guy, who just won a reality show. Get a life people. He is NO GEORGE CLOONEY!
OOOH I new David Cook T-shirt. That must make you feel very sexy and fashionable, as a no taste female freak. No wonder some of the women fantasize about being with this guy. No taste attacts same. What a great world we live in. Trailer trash talent with bad hairdos and no taste in shoes either. (oh yes he is a pretty good rock singer). Maybe some of you can let him borrow your cool eyeliner. My favorite performance of David Cook is Music of the Night and I love him because he is not a “loud rocker”. His voice is powerful but SOOTHING, REFRESHING and SWEET. Unlike other rockers, his aura is more elegant, modest and wholesome. Americans don’t really go for loud rockers, that’s why David Cook and David Arcchulletta got the most votes. CONGRATULATIONS AMERICA!
