We all have this strange affection for Kate and her performing dog Gin, as they have been wowing us with their great performances on Britains Got Talent and they must be good as Simon Cowell, actually likes them as well. Kate and Gin have already secured their place in Saturday’s final of Britain’s Got Talent, after Mondays show, but Gin is lucky to be able to perform at all. Two years ago in August Kate had discovered Gin lying in a heap at the bottom of her garden, Kate said that her dog looked so helpless, she said that she noticed earlier on in the day Gin did not seem herself as she was no interested in playing games, she just wanted to sit on the doorstep.
At first Kate thought she was just tired from the heat, but she soon realised that her dog were very ill. She recalls that it was the worst day of her life, as she thought that her dog was dying. They rushed Gin to the vets where he gave her some injections and rehydration fluids, but he did not think that Gin would pull through; Kate remembers that she could remember trying to fight back the tears.
The following day Gin had not improved, so the vet then put her on intravenous fluids for 48 hours. That was when the vet noticed some blood spots on her leg, that is when he thought that the dog had been poisoned, maybe the dog had eaten some rat poison by mistake, or something like that. The vet braced Kate for the worst and said that if she did pull through, she would not be able to perform again. The family took Gin home and over the next few weeks, the poison worked its way out of Gin’s system. The family then took Gin back to the vet; he could not believe the recovery that she had made. Over the next few months Gin slowly got better and started to perform her tricks once more.

I think these two are truly amazing! Having said that, I do think that the performance done for the audition was better than the semis, but that might be the ’shock’ of seeing such a talented performer!!
I wish them both all the luck in the world, and hope that Kate & Gin may decide to make some sort of DVD that we could purchase of their tricks, and perhaps some ‘trick lessons’ that we could all try! Indeed how we could all learn from them! Their devotion and love for one another ’shines’ through…we could all wish we had that kind of devotion in our own lives, but alas, most are not that blessed. Im glad I had the chance to see such performances.
Have a good year everyone reading this
Love&Luck to Kate&Gin xx

I thought Kate and Gin’s act was exceptional. The dog was a joy with waging tail and true adoration for her owner. I was upset when they failed to win. I hope someone sees the potential of this act and gives them a chance, so that when it comes for Gin to retire she will have a happy loving rest.
Good luck to both for the future. I know what Gin means to Kate and visa versa.
God bless.

Gin deserved to win. How many dogs do you get that can perform as well as Gin? Not many. Whereas how many dancers can you get like George. Well a fair few if I’m honest. They just don’t all have the courage to go on a show like Britains Got Talent.
All the best to Kate&Gin x
