It is no secret that Michael Jackson is planning to make a return to performing live on stage; many believe that he is to make his comeback at Las Vegas. Performing live on stage at Las Vegas is a proven platform for singers; you just need to look at the likes of Celine Dion who has been performing for years there. However; it seems as if one Vegas promoter wants to put the King of Pop down before he ever gets started, he said that he is incapable of performing ever again.
People started to speculate of Jacko coming to the Sin City after the Las Vegas Hilton stepped in at the last minute and saved Jackson’s Neverland Ranch from foreclosure. Just recently Michael has made a number of personal appearances in Las Vegas; his most recent was the Ultimate Fighting Championship match, which was held last Saturday.
According to Female First, promoter Jack Wishna is the man behind Celine Dion’s successful Vegas career, insists that Michael Jackson is not fit to return to the stage. He recently told the National Enquirer “Sadly, Michael’s incapable of keeping promises, because he hasn’t got the will to even show up anywhere, much less get himself into shape for a world-class performance. He might drop by to wave at guests, or do a dance on top of a limo, but a long-term show? That dream will never come true, I’m afraid”.
Ok so promoter Wishna thinks that he knows what he is talking about, but to say that Michael Jackson is incapable of performing live ever again is just stupid. I know that Jackson has not been himself of late, and he has a long way to go before he is ready for a live stage performance. Wishna has to remember that Michael Jackson is the most successful solo artist, and he was the king when he was on a world tour, my wife has seen him four times now, and she said that he is truly amazing.
No matter what people say Michael Jackson is the King of Pop, and that will never change, come on Michael we can’t wait for a new world tour.
Amazing article. Whereever Michael goes - they persume he was told to sing and he didn’t. can’t the man go around somewhere without singing! He can di waht he want quite frankly, because he worked hard to earn the title, so even if it takes 900 yeaqrs for him to make a comeback so let him.
and when he does HE WILL BE THE BEST EVER

Michael Jackson is NOT the King of Pop. He was last relevant 30 years ago. He’s over.

thankyou so much for finaly giving the king of pop Michael Jackson some good publicity i am very grateful as he deserves it and you guys rock! just like Michael Jackon the best entertainer ever lived!

you either have to be 1) deaf 2) blind to not appreciate MJ’s music. MJ is a child prodigy, a legend, the entertainer who sold the most in the history of music, and the richest entertainer (no, he is NOT broke, he has numerous sources of income still). Michael, please come back! Our music industry lacks pure talent and passion.

I would wish a comeback for Michael Jackson but I’m afraid it’s true he’s incapable to perform. The negative press during the child molestation trial which didn’t reflect the court transcripts but was just out on sensation and the negative press after the wma awards have scared him too much to return to stage. I feel sorry for Michael Jackson. That’s not what he deserved.

Michael is one of the most highly respected to me. If everyone was like Michael we might not see what we see on a daily basis. People have lost integrity in what they say about people. I will leave it at that. All there is is speculation in a world that deserve facts. I am thankful when people dont believe the seeds of deception.

Michael gets paid thousands of dollars to sing. Why should he go and sing for free somewhere. Unless he wants to sing to his children and family for free. I don’t believe he is afraid, he grew up singing in front of millions on TV.
Michael, we still love you and always will. I miss your beautiful voice, I know in my heart, you will sing publicly when You are damn good and ready! Eye of the Tiger, Babee, Eye of the Tiger!

Everything can be done, but everything has to be done properly. MJ has to perform because he needs money, desperately. And because of the piracy, he has to perform live to promote his albums, otherwise people will listen to his music but they won’t go to the store to buy the CDs.
I would suggest a very good psychologist and a very good PR specialist to control interviews and all live appearances. Las Vegas would be perfect for first performances and perhaps, afterwards, he would go for a world tour. This would solve the problem of Neverland mortgage.
As to singing, I can’t believe that someone’s voice can be lost. Without exercise, a singer may loose his abilities but with proper training, I can’t see how they can’t be restored.
I think that MJ’s problem is his incredible fame. He might be afraid of the press spotting his every mistake. And this fear that he might not be perfect prevents him from any public performance.
I am not a psychologist but if he had someone supporting him in a good, honest way, he might become more confident of himself and less afraid of possible mistakes. ‘To support someone’ does not mean that one says always “yes” and allows to do everything. Sometimes it means to force someone to do sth, as to perform and earn money.
I think that MJ problems are of the psychological nature. I think that he can’t forget child molestation charges, certainly is afraid of the press and the people in general. With age, he started to be too demanding for himself and this prevents him from singing.
So there is a sincere advice. I am your fan, and I wish you all the best. Stop thinking about what may go wrong. Stop thinking about the press. Stop thinking about the past. You have to work, as everyone. Singing is your occupation so you have to sing. You don’t have to perform live on television, but Las Vegas is a perfect place. People will criticise you, whatever you do because you are a super star. Don’t expect anything else. No singer, no actor, no president can expect anything else than being consantly criticised in the press.
But as long as people pay for the tickets to listen to you, go on the stage and perform. Don’t read the press, don’t watch the news. Earn money, as we all have to, to survive. Concerts in Las Vegas, world tour and you can retire again. Mistakes, voice problems - yes, they will happen, as always. Life is not simple or easy. Just don’t let fear overcome you.
Clench your teeth and go back to work. You are invincible, remember?

This promoter is either very stupid or has an ax to grind. His comments are
self promoting and have no basis. Talent like Michael’s never goes away He could perform in his sleep and still be better than anyone else. The music industry needs Michael back, and everyone in Vegas, if he chose to play there, would do themselves a favor to keep such pathetic comments to themselves.

I get high on MJ Music. That’s the beauty of it. You feel good all over, without taking a drug, a sip of alcohol, the chemistry is in his feet, his voice, what he wears, and his moves. C’mon, I want to buy tickets already. He rocks my world..
