Davina McCall has been talking about the death of her mother, she did not go to the funeral and she did not even send flowers, many of you might think that this was cold and callous, but we all have our reasons as Davina explains. The Big Brother presenter did not speak to her mother Florence before she died. Davina has said that growing up was a miserable time for her and her sister, the pair had grown up afraid of their mother who was an alcoholic. Their mother Florence decided to leave Davina when she was only three-years-old; this has now left her with the constant fear of abandonment.
The Daily Mail explains that Davina started to seek help earlier this year just to try and understand the fractured relationship that she had with her mother; this was all going on when her mother’s health was deteriorating. Davina explains that with the death of her mother she feels curiously positive, and has told some of her friends that it is like a weight have been lifted from her shoulders. It seems that this is an important time for the TV presenter, her mother has now died and she has also called it a day with her agent who has helped her build her career in to what it is today. So you have to ask yourself is Davina McCall going through a mid-life crisis.
