Well the time has come for us all to pick our win of Britain’s Got Talent 2008, and we are down to the final eight acts, and only one can go through. Well after watching the show every night for a few weeks, I am glad to say that George Sampson has won the show. IT was so hard to see who would win tonight, as there were so many great performances, but George Sampson deserved to win. You always have to feel sorry for the first act that starts the show off, but The Cheeky Monkeys did not let that pressure get to them.
The pair danced to Grease classic We Go Together, it left me with a warm fuzzy feeling. All three judges did not have a bad word to say about them, but how could you say anything bad about these cute kids. The next act up was Plumber Andrew Muir, singing John Lennon, and his hit Imagine. Well I had to agree with the judges, I think that this was his worst performance. I do not understand where it went wrong for him. Kate and Gin were next up, and as always they pulled yet another great performance out of the bag, all three judges loved what they do.
Next up was dance group Nemesis from Milton Keynes, I do not understand what happened with this act, when they danced last night the dancing was very tight, but tonight they were all over the place. Strike were on next, i did not think that Danny and Liam were in time tonight, but the judges seemed to miss that, they as always seemed to love the dance act, especial Amanda.
Next on stage was singer George Sampson, his performance left the judges speechless. I am so amazed that such a nice voice comes from this young lad; let us hope that he keeps going after not winning the show. Next on stage was the winner of the show, oh yes the fantastic George Sampson, he did the same Singing In The Rain routine as the other day, but as it was so popular with the public he just had to do it one last time. Well I bet he is glad that he did, as this was the winning performance.
The last three performances were from, the first of the final three was young singing sensation Faryl Smith, there is no doubt that she will do very well, and I would say that Simon Cowell is already thinking of signing her. Escala was the next to perform, and as usual were fantastic, there act is just great, they have made classical music cool. The last act and who came second on Britain’s Got Talent 2008, is Signature, the act started with Michael Jackson’s most famous dance routing, Billy Jean. As always they both did a great job, there dancing is so cool how they mix Michael Jackson’s dancing with Indian dancing, it is cool and original.
Well as we all know George Sampson won the overall show, did he deserve to win?

I know what you mean, strike were not in time (which the judges said they were perfect at) the blonde guy was always a little late, Tonight was so hard because the acts were great. I believed the final would be George and Andrew but I guess I was wrong.
George deserved to win, also when he said it would change his mums life I was a little confused because performing in the royal variety is amazing but not majorlly life changing in the general aspect, but the I found out there was a 10,000 pound prize ( haha guess that is life changing). Finally george deserved to win but My final 3 would have been 1) George: deserves it and has supreme talent 2) kate and Jim: So much effort will have gone into that dog, I love dogs and they are uniqu with variety. 3) Escala: So talented and those girls are the womans Strike.

So wonderful George. What a night for you. Congratulations well done, and super kid so , so, so, wonderful. I didn’t vote for you by the way but you were amazing nonetheless. Wish I was your mum because your’e mum must be so proud of you tonight. You take stardom to the enth degree because you are just a kid and working your dream. Not wasting time, just using time to develop your wonderful talent to become special. I never watch the Royal Variety Performance but I will this time just to see you, you wonderful young man. Me, well I am just a mum to a son as beautiful as you and with a similar talant but he became an alcoholic many years ago and I have to live with that every day. But its when I see young men such as you that I begin to belive in life as I knew it. I used to sit outside my sons bedroom listening to him singing all his favourite songs and I recognised a talent then as I am sure that your parents recognised in you watching you dance. Well they were right because you will appear in front of Prince Charles and you have £100,000 in your bank account. Use it wisely and you will succeed in your life with such a talent. I think you could tour nationwide to give lectures in Schools to the young people in this country to instil their minds that there is so much for them to channel their energy into apart from street crime. You could start up your 0wn dance schools all over the country to help the youth of today. You would be indundated with applications. I never yet met a young person that didn’t like to boogie!!! You could set up a franchise called “Simply George”. Anyway, George I thought you were a star throughout Britains Got Talent. Good Luck and God bless you in your future. You deserve the best when you are ’simply the best’. I’m sure Tina Turner would’nt mind sharing that title with you tonight.

i am soooo glad that george sampson won britians got talent, he deserved it ,he is such a talented young dancer and i know the money will completley change his life. I agree that danny and liam were out of time and this was weirdly not picked up by the judges , however was very clear to see. I loved signature, they were really entertaining and the main dancer is excellent at what he does, all in all i think it was a fair and just final and the best boy won

Well done George, very good performance but where do you go with it. I am disappointed in the results to both Britain’s Got Talent and also the Nancy that was chosen. It was obvious that Jessie was the right Nancy, even Andrew Lloyd Weber chose her, some thing wrong! What a pity.

i thought that george sampson was fantastic!
i dont think that the choice of 2nd place and 3rd place were right, i think that:
1st:George Sampson
2nd:Escala
3rd:Faryl Smith
i think that signature were entertaining, but just shouldnt be 2nd.
escala were absolutles sensational. they should have been 2nd. i dont understand why they were not in the top 3.

I am so very glad that George won.
He so deserves this break.
I remember seeing him busking in London when I was there
one day and I remember someone saying that he was the boy off Britains Got Talent from 2007, and I just remember thinking I hope he goes back in this year.
I think some people might b alittle unhappy with him winning, as maybe the obvious winner to many people would have been one of the young singers or even Escala….people forget though that its obvious those people have talent…but with talent such as singing, there are plenty of opportunities to come from being a runner up in a show like this.
Like the judges said, to stand any chance as a non singing act, the act would have to win the contest, and that’s just what George has done.
Simon already said on the ITV show that he will be in talks with Andrew, Fayla (whatever her name is) and Escala…so in that respect everyone is a winner…and the finalists all have the tour to look forward to.
Anyway point is, well done George.
It will be amazing to see where this takes him.
Adverts, West End? Dance Schools?
For him…the future is his own to take, shape and conquer.

Got the feeling he was dancing his heart out: he really put everything into it and that Singing In The Rain act was something else. I’m so glad the show found a nice boy like him who was amazingly talented living somewhere where he was never going to get found. So happy for him.

Great that George won.Very entertaining, very focused, very talented. Sorry, but I really didn’t like Faryl or Andrew’s voices. Not at all. Don’t find that sort of thing entertaining or passionate in any way. Thought Signature were great, would have been happy if they’d won. Also liked Escala and Kate and Gin. But gotta say a huge congratulations to Cheeky Monkeys for getting that far and so sad they were on first. Thought they did a BRILLIANT job. Well done George, hope we see lots more of you.

Who are you critics to judge george, so you dont like break dancing.
News flash :
we not living in the 60’s anymore, times change and even tho you don’t like street / break dancing, or see it as a waste of time, we could say the same thing about the hippie flower power age of your time. atleast our youth are doing inspirational acts that leads to a better future rather than sitting on the grass smoking pot as many of you did in your time.
Who knows, he might even become as big as micheal jackson was, and i’m sure he will. Hell at 14 he has 100 000 pounds in his bank account and his name is known world wide, i’d say thats a really good start.
Fact is simple, most performers on bgt came on the stage and just performed, george on the other hand took it further, he put his soul into it, he danced so hard that he was out of breath after each performance, you could see the determination on his face, it showed in every performance. I never saw that once in any of the other contestants, no he deserved to win.
He has just showed every kid in the world that nothing is impossible if you want it bad enough. I wanted him to win from the start, altho i didnt think he would because people usually vote for the singers, I am so glad he did win tho. he definitely made my night.

George Sampson was the best for reasons that go back to 2007 and other situations
1) Did you all not see his house he needed that money and not like Andrew Johnson (who yes i do feel sorry for but pity should not let him win it even though he had a great voice)he trained and devoted himself to it.
2) He is devoted to it he has been seen in London and Manchester busking for money for petrol and tickets and then you see people like the cheeky monkeys who have had everything laid infront of them wih no problems
3) He is the only act iv seen that wanted it 100% and came back fighting which is better then the snobby people who were on it who will think “im too good for these shows” and also that unlike all the other acts he worked on it all himself from scratch unlike the singers who have been given the talent with no work
4) He was doing all of it for his mum and not forhimself
Good luck George i hope your fame does not fade after 5 minutes and that you take your hard work and you make something of yourself. everyone believes in something and after seeing you i have something to look up two (even though i’m 14 myself) If you do read this you got my vote and my vote in the semi’s and my voice screaming at the judges last year.

I have to say I’m quite dissapointed with this years winner of Britain’s Got Talent. There was such a big build up to the final and then for George to go and win it seems a bit of a let down. There was much better talent in the competition than George. I can’t believe that Faryl Smith and Escala didn’t even get a look in, they were the real talents! From what I can see, it looks like George got the sympathy vote, everyone seems to like him because of his story. Didn’t think you needn’t a story to win a talent competition, surely if you have raw talent that will get you through. George’s ‘make it up as you go along’ dancing didn’t do it at all for me. All in all, a bit of an anti-climax.

YAY George! He really deserved to win.
As expected, Signature was in the final 3; it was obvious they were going to get such a huge public vote. Johnson, however, I still believe that he shouldn’t have been in the top three. If people wanted a musical candidate it should have been Escala or the vocally superior Faryl. Honestly, we get it, your bullied get over it and stand up for your self. (puberty is going to hit him HARD)
But the man of the hour, George, really is deserving of this reward. I realize that many people say that there’s nothing special about him or his dancing and though at times (rarely) I might agree that his dancing is average, there is nothing that is not special about him. It is so hard to find a kid so honest, kind, caring, and genuine as he is. The fact that he comes from a broken home and that the ONLY reason he does this is too help his mum and family is truly inspirational especial coupled with his perseverance of coming back this year.
While it is known that most of the singers and other performers are being signed to contracts, I just hope for the absolute best for George and his family because he really does give hope to all of us.

I’m sorry but I think it was a case of the Emperor’s new clothes. For some reason, I think we were being persuaded to believe that Faryl and Andrew were something special. Personally me and my kids didn’t like either of their voices and found the entertainment value non existent. George is a worthy winner for us. It was a big relief that the public had a bit of sense on this one.

Clearly you understand nothing about break dancing, which takes work and dedication to build up fitness levels and obviously he was not ‘making it up as he goes along’ that is a ridiculous assertation and you are just exhibiting your ignorance of break dancing. That Child deserved it as much as anyone else did in the show, and probably more. It was different and a breath of fresh air. You are clearly taken in by generic acts such as Escala and the opera singers, they are ten a penny and all do well as singing is a more acccepted form of entertainment.

Hmmmm - I have to say I was gutted that the Jackson tribute act didn’t win - As far as entertainment goes those guys were top in my book.
Sure both the young singers Andrew + Faryl were excellent and I envisage that Simon was rubbing his hands at the thought of signing them - So in essence they didn’t need the win. The group Escarla were excellent and as the judges commented I would expect to see them touring in the near future. So that leaves George and Signiture - George’s dancing will (had he not win) would have led to a successful career. If you think about it though what are the Signiture boys gonna do now ?

George Sampson won that show hands down.
He has a true talent at dancing.
Not only has he got talent he is a fighter.
He came back with confidence, and won the show.
I must admit their was so many brillaint acts last night eg; STRIKE!
They were amazing.
However George Sampson, took over that show.

george will go on to great things. Simon has already offered him an oppertunity to feature in Justin Timberlakes new song called Gliding on the Dance Floor. Hes going to be a backing dancer. Good for him.
Farrel Smith has been offered a scholarship at the Universal Opera Unit where im sure she will progress and go on to great things.
I however, am doing revision for Biology , and everthing you just read was complete bullshit that i plucked from the top of my head.

Big con as per usual by ITV. Impossible to believe that George won. I think it is an ITV scam. Which they are imfamous for. Escala did not perform well yet the judges said it was a flawless performance. Since when was playing out of tune (albeit marginally) a flawless performance? I think Faryl Smith was by far and away the best performer. Obviously she will suceed as a professional artist. I only hope she doesn’t accept a contract off the wrong money people. I’d like to wish George Sampson good luck with his life and I only hope he doesn’t spend the rest of his life trying to match his success of yesterday evening.

I love George he is so cute. I wanted him to win all along and he did.I never watch the royal variety but this time i will because of George. When they were about to announce the winner my legs were shaking so badly and i was biting my finger because i was scared he was not going to win.And i had tears in my eyes because i knew loads of people did not mind who won between George and Signature so i was really scared that Signature were going to win. But when they finally did announce the winner and i found out it was George i started to scream. I was so fuckin happy. And now all i do is go on about George and my sister hates it and always tells me to shut up.

Honestly! What a disspointment! George certainly wasn’t the best act in the final, Faryl Smith was such a good singer that she was one in a million. Not only that but Signature was also a dancing act BUT they put humour into their act which made it more exciting. Geroge just had the dancing, which was nowhere neer as good as Signature’s.
What a let down!!!!!

Just the for the record, the comments I made about George were not because ‘I clearly know nothing about break dancing’ or because ‘I am exhibiting my ignorance of it’ as you very kindly stated. I do enjoy watching break dancing and I do find it entertaining, I just felt that George gave an average performance compared to others, not one worthy of winning the biggest talent competition in Britain. Neither am I ‘easily taken in by generic acts’ as you put it. There were 5 acts that I thought could have easily won the competition. Signature were one of them, no doubt you’ve got something to say about them as well.They are all going to do well anyway, so who cares? So you’ve said your piece and I’ve said mine, lets leave it at that shall we.

If I could have voted, I would have voted for George. I live in the US, so I can’t vote. He EARNED the BGT title. He worked hard and sacrificed a lot. There are not many who have the courage to do what he did to reach their dream. I keep reading that dancing is not a viable profession compared to singing. That is a load of crap. Dancers make pretty good money in music videos, stage, choreography and teaching. George has the determination and talent to succeed in this business.

Tried to vote for Faryl Smith all the time lines were open but line was continuously busy - isn’t that strange?
Does anybody know how many votes each contestant received - and how many lines were available for each contestant too?
How can votes be tallied if you can’t get through at all on some numbers ?
The fact that although we put Faryl Smiths number on auto redial and yet never got through must mean it was fully subscribed - yet she didn’t even make the top three. So did the other contestants have more lines, or was there a problem with the lines ? Or was this yet another incidence of the ITV voting system that won’t withstand closer inspection?

I am glad like most here posting that George won last night. But to all you ‘disbelievers’ just think of it, Simon Cowell and others like him will have NO PROBLEM at all signing up ANY of the singers. They will all be earning nice little pots of money from the show, dont fret about that!!
It was the fairest way for the votes to go in the circumstances, and whilst yes it may well have been a little bit of fixing going on, I believe it was fairly done.
Please all you lot, dont be thinkinbg the others missed out, I promise you they will not have done.
I AM GLAD GEORGE WON AND I WISH HIM WELL…
What did annoy me a little is how UNCLE stated what a difference the money would make to the family … I hope someone has a well sorted plan to make sure that George is the one who benifits hugely from this vast sum of WELL EARNED money - - after all HE is the one that won it!!

I really enjoyed Andrew Johnston singing, and I had believed that he would win. I still think the judges should have picked him instead of choosing a dancer just because they wanted a dancer to win and give future contenders (dance) hope of winning.
