It is now two days after George Sampson won Britain’s Got Talent, and his life is already changing for the good. Firstly we know that the 14-year-old dancing sensation has won £100,000 and he will also appear at the Royal Variety Performance. The best thing that will change for George is the fact that he will be able to pay his mother’s mortgage off, as well as buy more gifts for his devoted mother. Another big change for the break-dancer is the fact that he might get the chance to patch up his relationship with his father.
His mother Lesley was at the show watching and cheering her boy on, but his father Brian had to watch his son perform at home in front of the TV. Things have been strained between George and his father since Brian and Lesley split five years ago. When asked by the Daily Mail about how he felt about his son winning the talent show, he said “I’m thrilled for George. I knew in my heart he would win. I shed a few tears.” He then added “My head was spinning and I had to go outside for some fresh air. It was difficult, not being with George, but all the neighbours came out and congratulated and consoled me.”
Since the couple split Brian has only seen his son George properly once, he has had to keep his distance as he was afraid if Lesley would be there and cause problems. It is thought that George’s mother Lesley had banned father Brian from seeing his son. Brain has said that he is so proud of his son, and has said that this is the beginning of great things for his son.
George has now been flooded with offers however; he has said that he will not make a decision until the Britain’s Got Talent Tour has finished. George hopes that he will now be able to perform in music videos, as well as appear on the stage.
Maybe George Sampson will make it as a top chorography.
