Paul Gascoigne was once a football legend back in his day, but what a difference a few years make. It is now the second time in just a short amount of time that Gazza has been sectioned under the Mental Health Act. Hertfordshire police were called on Sunday at just after 12.30pm, this was after a 42-year-old man, Gascoigne had approached a member of the public, who was not known to him, the man appeared to be unwell at the time.
According to The Guardian, Paul Gascoigne is now been sectioned under the Mental Health Act. The troubled footballe has a history of alcohol problems, and has also been battling with depression as well as stress. Gazza had already been sectioned back in February, where he spent more than a fortnight at Middleton St George Hospital in Darlington.
Gazza has lived a troubled life since being sacked from his manager position at Kettering Town in 2005, he only lasted six months. He was sacked as he was suffering from alcohol problems while the team had been training, as you would expect Paul denied these claims that were made from Kettering’s chairman Imraan Ladak. It is not known how long he will have to stay in hospital for, but he can stay in for up to 72 hours.
