George Sampson has spent so long trying to live his dream, but now the Britain’s Got Talent has come crashing back down to earth. Young George has only gone and got himself in to an 80-minute school detention. He has been given the detention as he has been repeatedly late for school, due to the fact that he has made so many TV and Radio breakfast appearances. The Daily Mail was asking young George how he has celebrated his win, he replied “’I can’t celebrate my win because I have detention; he also added ‘I’ve been late for school by about ten minutes every day.”
Sampson has told reporters that the school have worked out how many minutes that he has missed the school then sent a letter home to his mum saying that he has to serve an 81 minute detention. When he first went back to his school, he received a hero’s welcome with a standing ovation at morning assembly. The funny thing was the school Headmistress Anne Bright, handed George with an umbrella which has the school crest on it, then the next minute she shouted at him to tuck his shirt in.
Yesterday while attending school, Sampson had to take his mock GCSE music exam, he said that he is a little scared about the exams as he has been spending more time on his act, rather than studying for his exams. I wonder how many more times George Sampson will be late for school, once he goes on the Britain’s Got Talent national tour, as well as training for when he appears on the Royal Variety Performance.
