Some of America’s biggest magazines have entered a bidding war, as to who will get the first pictures of Angelina Jolie’s and Brad Pitt’s twin’s pictures. There are reports that they are prepared to pay $15 million, well that would make a nice birthday present for the expecting mother. The actress most famous for her role in the two Tomb Raider movies is 33 today. There were rumours last Friday that Angelina had already given birth to her twins in France, I bet OK and People Magazine were having babies themselves worried that they would not get the first photo exclusive.
It sounds as if People and OK are both doing battle between each other, as they realise what these photos would do for their sales. A spokesperson for people Magazine has said “We’d love to see the photos in People. We wish the family well”. A spokesperson for rival OK has said IT would be foolish not to bid for the photos.” Back in 2006, both Jolie and Pitt offered the first picture rights for daughter Shiloh through distributor Getty Images, People magazine paid $4.1 million for the rights in North America; British Magazine Hello paid $3.5 for the international rights.
However; the couple did not profit from the picture deals, as all profits were donated to an undisclosed charity. It is nice to see that both Angelina and Brad used the money earned from these magazines to a good cause.
