Girls Aloud has to be the UK’s most popular girl group at the moment, but you have to wonder if they are about to call things a day. The thing is, so far three of the group have now started doing things outside the group. Nadine Coyle is enjoying her restaurant business and Cheryl Cole has worked with Will.i.am on a single. Also Nicola Roberts started her own range of make-up, so you will be wondering who will be next to fly away from the girl groups nest?
Well it looks as though Sarah Harding is the next one, as she has now started work on her first solo project. Her first piece of work is a collaboration with Filthy Dukes, their track will appear on the soundtrack for new movie Wild Child. Also appearing on the album is Nelly Furtado, Rihanna as well as Robbie Williams. Sarah has said in the past that she loves being in Girls Aliud, and that she does not have any desire to leave the group. Ok so we know that the girls are still happy and that they have to branch out away from the group a little, but once they get a taste of freedom when working on your own, will they want to work with the other member of the group? When working on your own you can do things your way, but when you are in a band there are always creative differences.
Myself, I think that as a group Girls Aloud are strong, but when they do things on their own they become weak, look at what happened to Boyzone.
