Last week we learned that Lee McQueen lied on his CV, but it seems as Sir Alan did not hold that against him and has hired him. McQueen has won The Apprentice, and with that has now been offered a job from Sir Alan Sugar, he will now earn £100,000. Claire Young, was the favourite to win the show but Lee suprised all of us by being offered the job.
As the winner of The Apprentice, Lee McQueen will now become the sales director of a new digital marketing company which is part of Sir Alan’s business empire. Lee has spent the last eleven weeks working hard and trying to be a team player, and it is this along with his drive and ambition that persueded Sir Alan to choose him. In the final show tonight it was between Claire Young, 29, Alex Wotherspoon, 32 and Helene Speight, 32. The four of them were then split into two teams,
He went up against retail buyer Claire Young, 29, global pricing leader Helene Speight, 32 and sales manager Alex Wotherspoon, 32 in the final tasks. Helene and Alex faced Claire and Lee, there task was to create and launch a new male fragrance. To help the teams launch the new fragrance previous contestants were brought back onto the show.
Roulette was Alpha’s attempt at a fragrance, but the brand was thought to be boring and the association with gambling was branded negative. Team Renaissance’s fragrance was problematic, the bottle had a dual theme, as a result was very costly. After the task Sir Alan fired Alex and Helene.
So that now left Lee and Claire, the pair of them slugged it out in the hope of being hired by Sir Alan Sugar. He said to the pair “It’s been a long journey as you know, and at this final hurdle I have to make a very serious decision.” He then went on to say “”Claire you have some great attributes and Lee you’re very convincing. You are very, very, very convincing. I’ve concluded…Lee, you’re hired!”
Do you think that Sir Alan made the right decession?
