It has been announced today that Simon Cowell is set to launch a global version of America’s Got Talent. It’s said that Simon has scored TV hits with both the US and UK versions of the programme, and now he wants to take his talent search one step further with ‘World’s Got Talent’.
Simon said that “This global show will unite the best acts. It’s going to be great. The Eurovision’s not perfect that’s why we want to have a go at doing something that rivals it. But it’s watched and enjoyed by millions of people around the world. There will be some countries’ acts that make you laugh and cringe. They won’t be to everyone’s liking, but that’s the whole point - it gets people talking and arguing. But I think we can get genuine talent.”
Do you think that this would be a good idea?
The season premiere of “America’s Got Talent” is next Tuesday the 17th June at 9 p.m. on WTLV NBC12. Will you be watching?

Anyone else think the premiere of our AMERICA’S GOT TALENT on NBC is going to be crazy? You never know what to expect on that show and it’s a 2-hour premiere on the 17th of this month. Should be good…I’ll tune in. At times I thought it was Americas Got Freaks! This is the show that unites America. It’s truly open to ANYONE, ANY AGE, ANY TALENT. It’s surprising to see what this country comes up with.
