The Incredible Hulk is box office No. 1
Over the weekend The Incredible Hulk smashed the competition to earn $54.5 million and finish No. 1. Marvel and Universal brought the first “Hulk” to theatres in 2003, but that more introspective version failed to follow through on its muscular $62 million debut after disappointing comic book fans.

Now let’s fast-forward five years to 2008 and director Louis Leterrier delivers “The Incredible Hulk”. The 2008 film does not refer to its 2003 counterpart, and is not a sequel but instead; it stands on its own as a separate version of the story.

Here is a bit about the film: Edward Norton plays Banner, the man conflicted because of the monster inside, who lives outside the country and hides from the government while looking for a cure. U.S. Army General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross (William Hurt) is the reason Banner hides. Ross wants Banner back in the laboratory to use his “unique” internal chemistry as a weapon, but Banner, of course, won’t just turn himself in quietly. Lucky for us, because we are then treated to some exciting action sequences where Banner’s alter ego, the Hulk, rampages on screen.

Its said that screenwriter Zak Penn and Norton take the film to another level as Hulk eventually meets up with an equal, as soldier Emil Blonsky volunteers for some strange experiments for a chance to take on our green “hero.”

Have you seen the film yet, if so what did you think?

this new Incredible Hulk is a lot more fun than the first one with Eric Bana; Ed Norton does his usual specialty — the “split personality” role…
