Sara Evans has married quarterback Jay Barker

On Saturday Sara Evans married former University of Alabama quarterback Jay Barker in an outdoor ceremony on a farm in Franklin. This is the second marriage for both of them. It’s said that more than 130 guests witnessed Sara being escorted down the aisle by her 8-year-old son Avery. The black-and-white-themed ceremony was a family affair, with the couple’s seven children in attendance. Sara has three and Jay has four and all served as attendants.

Sara wore an ivory silk taffeta wedding gown by Vera Wang and Jay wore a suit by Dolce and Gabbana. Sara and Jay announced their engagement on the 24th March and were introduced to each other last year by their minister, Joe Beam, who performed the nuptials.

Sara’s high-profile divorce began while she was a contestant on Dancing with the Stars.
