We all knew that Lewis Hamilton was handicapped from the start of the French Grand Prix, following his ten place grid penalty which he incurred from the previous Grand Prix. Hamilton had to start back in 13th, but he started to make up some great results on the first lap. Then he tried a move on one of the Toro Rossos, he made the overtaking manoeuvre but out-braked himself.
He went a little deep and made up the place while running off the track, so race control had to give him a drive through penalty. McLaren boss, Ron Dennis, is a little angry with the decision, and feels that Lewis made the pass and had it before Hamilton run off the track. I knew from that part of the race that Hamilton would not even make it into the points.
You can understand how boss Dennis feels, it seems that no matter what his team does the powers that be seems to be always against them. The one thing that I do not understand is, how Kimi Raikkonen, did not get any sort of penalty. The Ferrari driver was driving with a broken exhaust, and in my eyes was dangerous, well did you see the thing fly of his car, that could have hit a driver behind. I would have thought that the race stewards would have pulled him in, as to not cause a danger on the track.
I do worry that Lewis Hamilton is losing his sparkly as a race driver; it just seems that when he is under pressure, he finds it hard to handle it.
