Glastonbury Festival has opened today with 3,000 tickets still up for grabs which has never happened before in a decade. Last year all 140,000 tickets were snapped up in just two hours, but this year just 100,000 went on the opening day and organisers have struggled to shift the remaining 35,000.
A few months ago the slow sales were blamed on US rapper Jay-Z being the headline act and it was said that this has put off traditional rock music fans. What do you think? During the Festival there will be about 2,000 performances on 35 stages during the five-day event.
The question is what will the weather be like this weekend not that it really matters?
Let’s start with the optimistic forecast from Metcheck.
On Friday it is meant to be Dry and partly cloudy with a maximum temp of 19°C, dropping to 14°C at night
On Saturday it’s meant to be Dry with early morning sunshine. Cloudy in the afternoon with the odd shower early eve. Max temp 20°C
Sunday has been forecast with Showers with sunny intervals from mid-morning until early evening, then clear and dry through the night. Max temp 18°C
Will the weather stop you going?
