For what seems like a lifetime, the Dark Knight will finally be screening later this week to a select press and the guys over at Slash Film will be lucky enough to attend. However; if you find that you just can’t wait just a few more days for a review of this latest Batman movie, then you will be pleased to learn that AICN has already had a sneak peak at the movie.
The first thing that the guys have said about The Dark Knight is of Heath Ledger’s performance as The Joker, they reckon that his performance is worthy of a best supporting Oscar for his part of The Joker. Tim Bisley from AICN has compared the movie to The Godfather Part 2. None of us can deny how popular Batman Begins was and how much better it was the original Batman movies, and The Dark Knight promises to become an even greater movie.
If you do not want to know too much about the new movie then i advise you to stop reading, for those of you who would like to know a little more about the movie, then please keep reading. “The film feels more like a crime drama in a grand city scape than a typical comic book movie. It feels like Heat except Batman is Al Pacino and The Joker is Robert De Niro and just like in that film we have a great scene between Heath Ledger and Christian Bale across a table. There is also an element of a Greek Tragedy.. There is a vast sense of morality at play within the film.”
