Madonna and Guy Ritchie broke their silence: we have no plans to divorce

Madonna and Guy Ritchie have finally broke their silence yesterday and they insist that they have no plans to divorce. The couple’s publicist attempted to play down intense speculation that Madonna and Guy are on the brink of splitting following reports that each has consulted leading divorce lawyers.

Liz Rosenberg who is their publicist said that “Madonna’s husband Guy arrived in New York on Monday night to be with his wife and family. There are no plans for Madonna and Guy to divorce.”

One friend of the couple said that “Trust me, it’s over. Why else would they both consult divorce lawyers? Madonna hates being pushed into a corner and would hate other people having the satisfaction of saying ‘We told you so’. The announcement will be slipped out after her tour - as planned.”

Over the past couple of days Madonna and Guy have not been wearing their wedding rings, so what is the reason for that?

Liz also said that “Madonna and Alex have the same manager, Guy Oseary. They have met. They know each other and Madonna took her kids to a Yankees game last week. There’s really not anything to comment on beyond that.” Madonna, 50 next month, is currently rehearsing for her 27-date world tour which starts in Cardiff on August 23.

Legal experts have said that Guy could get a £50million chunk of Madonna’s £380million fortune if they divorce because they did not sign a pre-nuptial agreement before they wedding.

In other news Madonna’s childhood home in the Rochester Hills suburb of Detroit has been destroyed in a suspected arson attack.
