Rockaoke at O2 Wireless Festival: do more than watch

Filed Under: Music | By: Peter Chubb

Every visitor can steal the show this summer, with some help from the UK’s leading live rock karaoke band. Those heading down to the O2 festival this summer can do more than watch performances from some of the biggest bands on the planet – this year, ticket holders themselves can be a part of the line up. Live rock karaoke band Rockaoke will be taking to the stage with their fun-filled and unforgettable show, offering the public a chance to give their own inimitable performances.

With a set list packed full of rock classics old and new, from Aerosmith to Avril Lavigne, festival goers can enjoy their five minutes of fame behind the mic backed by a professional live band. Catch the Rockaoke boys twice a day at the Gaymers Cider Garden, adjacent to the second stage, to give your own performance – as you can see at www.rockaoke.co.uk, some of the best are all about effort rather than ability…

The Rockaoke boys have got some great gigs under their belts, including V Festival, and were even joined on stage at Manumission’s Ibiza Rocks by Kaiser Chief Ricky Wilson. If you can’t make it to the festival this year, you can still indulge your inner rock star at another of the band’s regular shows – exhibitionists will be glad to hear that the band has a monthly residency at Proud Galleries in Camden, amongst other venues across the UK, and would love to see you there. So, you’d better get practising.

Photo opportunity: Catch the best (and worst) of the public living their dreams with Rockaoke, performing classic rock songs for the festival crowd

Date and time: 3 – 6 July 2008, between 3:30 – 5pm and 6.30 – 8pm

Venue: The Gaymers Cider Garden, adjacent to the second stage, O2 Wireless Festival
