Last night experts have said that Wimbledon star Laura Robson could very well be set to become the richest British tennis star in history. Laura who is just 14 stunned the tennis world by scooping the junior championship on Saturday and it’s now said that she could end up earning around £50million. Over taking British earner Tim Henman, who is thought to have made around £16million in his career.

Last night Laura stepped out to celebrate at the Champion’s Ball as firms queued up to offer her sponsorship deals. It’s said that Robinsons were first to express interest and could offer a deal worth £1million a year. Advertising experts said the similarity between the youngster’s surname and their brand could help create a catchy slogan. Robinsons recently ended their six-year deal with Scot Andy Murray, whose sponsor is now bottled water Highland Spring. A Robinsons spokesman said yesterday: “We were delighted by Laura’s success. There is a strong possibility our team will be looking into doing something with her.”

Laura’s mentor Carl Maes who is the head of women at the Lawn Tennis Association, said that“We just need to make sure she has every opportunity for her talent to blossom. If it does, her career could see her earning up to £5million a year by the age of 25.”

Laura’s agent Abigail Tordoff said that “Laura now wants to knuckle down and get on with her school work. She has exams to pass. She’s had an incredible week but at the end of the day she is just a 14-year-old girl. She needs to take it steady. Tennis is Laura’s priority so she’s going to lie low and work hard on her game.”

Do you think that Laura is going to be the next big Tennis player out there?
