As we now Nicole gave birth to a baby girl on Monday but what everyone wants to know is why she has called her daughter Sunday Rose? We know that a lot of celebrities choose different names like Apple and Brooklyn but what made her choose Sunday.

To clear al this up Nicole Kidman’s father has revealed that he suggested naming his granddaughter Sunday, having been inspired by artist Sidney Nolan’s muse Sunday Reed. He said that “The name struck me as being a nice name for a woman, so my wife and I mentioned it.”

Nicole and Keith welcomed Sunday Rose Kidman Urban into the world on Monday in the US.

Its said that Sunday Reed was a well-known figure in Australia’s art scene during the early 20th century, and spent the 1930s in a three-way love triangle with her arts patron husband, John, and painter Nolan.

Sunday is Nicole’s first biological child. She adopted two children with Tom Cruise during their marriage, which ended in divorce in 2001.

What gets me about celebrities these days is yes ok they want their child to have a different name but come on have they really thought about what will happen as the child grows up with name calling ect.

What do you think of the name?

A wonderful name! I can’t think what sort of teasing she will have to endure. I mean, at one time you would have been ridculed had you been called William, Fred, Jessica etc. We are more tolerant of unusual names nowadays and Sunday is a much more beautiful name than most.
