When I first went to the cinema to see the first Hellboy movie, I went there thinking that I would not care for it much, however after watching the movie I was pleasantly surprised. One thing that made the movie great was Ron Perlman; he has come a long way since I used to watch him in Beauty and the Beast, the TV series.
Well Perlman is back again in Hellboy II: The Golden Army and Ron is totally awesome in this second movie. Someone else puts in a great performance as the bad guy, ex Bros drummer Luke Goss. The new movie is much like the old one as it is very fast paced and sometimes hard to keep up, and let’s not get started on the tooth fairies.
The action in the movie is relentless, if you thought that the first Hell Boy movie had action, just wait until you watch The Golden Army. There a few problems with this new movie though, one is that Perlman does not have enough time on the screen, Director, Del Toro seemed to think it was a great idea to give other characters more screen time.
Hellboy II: The Golden Army is like a lot of other movies, in the way that it tries to push out a message about our environment. It seems that Prince Nuada (Goss) is not happy about how mankind has trashed the planet, so he feels that is his duty to take action.
Once you have had the chance to see Hellboy II: The Golden Army, then do please leave a comment and let us know what you thought.
As soon as I found out when Hellboy 2 was coming out I wanted to see it because I am a huge Ron Perlman fan and on July 11 I went with my 2 boys and watched it and I thought it was awesome I think anyone would have to be stupid to think it sucked. My boys which are 6 and 8 loved it except the tooth fairies because it scared them. I think it is Oscar worthy and a #1 on this summers movies.

Hellboy is dependably fun; for sure that director has an amazing imagination, reminded me a lot of his work in Pan’s Labyrinth
