There is less than one week to go until the release of The Dark Knight, the sequel to Batman Begins, which in my mind was the greatest Batman movie to date. The new movie has seen fans storming the Box Office to book their tickets; it seems that many movie fans want to see Heath Ledger in his final performance.
Ticket sales so far have surpassed some of the hottest movies this year in pre-ticket sales, such as Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’, Iron Man and Sex and the City. 71 percent of Fandango’s current ticket sales are for The Dark Knight.
In a survey taken by 3,000 Fandango users, 53 percent of them say that they wish to see the film because they wish to see Ledger in his final performance.
Don’t think for one moment that you should go and see the movie just to see Heath Ledger’s performance, the movie has other great actors in it, such as Michael Caine, Aaron Eckhart, Christian Bale, Gary Oldman and finally the great Morgan Freeman.
If Batman Begins is anything to go by, then I think that we really are in for a treat with The Dark Knight. I do hope that this movie does well at the Box Office, then we are certain to see many more Batman movies, well as long as we do return to the old format with Michael Keaton or George Clooney.
Iw ant to see it as well because of Heath’s last time, but it also looks like a great movie. I have never been a huge Batman fan, but this movie looks awesome.
