Angelina Jolie as Catwoman could top The Dark Knight

Well have reported today at how popular the new Batman movie, The Dark Knight is at the Box Office. The new movie has been getting rave reviews and many are now asking how the next Batman movie will be able to top The Dark Knight.
Well those guys over at latimesblogs have come up with a possible solution, how about introducing Catwoman. Ok I know what you are thinking, but hear them out, they think that Angelina Jolie would be perfect for the role.
We have seen Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry as Catwomen, but they do not come close to the thought of Jolie in a cat suit, look how sexy she looked in that skin tight Tomb Raider outfit, now imagine her in skin tight leather.
They are not sure how Angelina Jolie will be able to top the performance from Heath ledger as The Joker, but it is not Jolie’s acting skills that we will be watching. The problem is director Christopher Nolan, has a tough job ahead for further Batman movies, he can’t really do another movie with The Joker in it, as no other actor will be able to pull off the performance like Ledger did.
We do have to wonder how much life the Batman franchise now has, there was only ever a few great villains that did battle with Batman, so who could Nolan use next.

Angelina Jolie would suck as Catwoman. No one wants to see the Old Woman who lived in a shoe dressed in leather.
OMG this is the MOST brillant idea yet!!!!!!! She could definitely pull off being as dark as she needs to be for Nolan’s conception and to see her in tight leather onscreen next to Christian Bale *sigh* I wish I knew how to give this idea the push it needs to become reality
Aren’t we all sick of seeing her face everywhere? Amy Winehouse would make more sense. Maybe Chuck Norris as the Riddler?
I think Aishwary would be wonderful in this film. She’s pretty, she sexy and pleasing to look at. She’s fresh and doesn’t have that stale feeling that comes with actors that have been used over and over. She looks the part.
I think if you cast her alongside a well known, you’ll have a box office blow out.

I don’t think it would be a good idea to have her portray the Catwoman. Her facial expressions tend to stay the same in each role and I don’t think that that will help her with this character since she has to break from human to animal.

Angelina would make an incredible Catwoman.
hopefully not… I’ve noticed Nolan has a knack for casting good actors in the new Batman movies. however, he does seem to cast one cheeseball actor in each one (Rutger Hauer, Eric Roberts) but they’ve been in minor roles so let’s hope not. Jolie = box office poison except for 13 year olds that don’t know how to use the internet.
Um…Luka Magnotta would be better in this role LMFAO or even Tom Cruise. They both are scientologists

Uhm… the idea of Jolie sounded awesome for about 10 seconds, but then… hmmm… My bet is on Eva Green (Vesper Lynd in casino Royale) … she’s as dark as any and, methinks, a better actress.
Put in Philip Seymore Hoffman as the Penguin, and that’ll be a winner.

She would look great, yes, but she hasn’t been able to act since Girl Interrupted. I mean seriously, they tried to cast one of this supposed “A-list” actresses for the first movie and see what happened (she got re-cast in the second movie)

Dark Knight was such an awesome movie. Yes Angelina is hot but she is so mainstream it will take attention away from the Dark Knight Christian Bale. And she always plays the bad ass! Angelina as Catwoman is just selling out Batman! NOO please don’t kill the awesomness of Batman. I think a more unknown actress would be so much better for Catwoman. Someone who can actually act.

She has a similar look to Angelina but is 10 years younger, is an up and comer thanks to Transformers.. heck we could even have Michael Bay *cough* Dark Knight *cough* interpretation.
I don’t mind Angelina for a choice though but will she live up to the expectations of the new Batman franchised movies?
I’m sure whatever Nolan decides it will be good.
We are yet to see a muck up in his movies. Well I am anyways.
Also.. how about Bane, Dr Death, Harley Quinn (The Jokers love) for new characters in the next movie/s.
can we bring in other Superheroes? No not like Superman or Spiderman but those like Green lantern, the Flash? Or keep it Soley Batman?
Either way I’m sure I’ll be happy with whatever the outcome is.
Let’s face it, this is all hypothetical and no one has confirmed if catwoman will be in the next batman flick or if there would even be another one (which I bet there will). I honestly think Angelina Jolie is a very talented actress. Her performances in A Mighty Heart and Girl, Interrupted were brilliant. I really think she could portray Selina Kyle/Catwoman very well. Julie Newmar, the very first actress to play Catwoman, has even said so herself (allegedly). The reason a lot of people wouldn’t want her to be catwoman is because she’s everywhere—magazines, tv, internet, etc. It’s not her fault that the paparazzi is constantly tracking her down.
I also think Charlize Theron or Mila Kunis could do a good job portraying Catwoman.
I don’t think AJ suitable for that role. We are too familiar with AJ. We need some one who have “fearless” acting skills. Someone special. Some one that can becoming “more chaous” to the Gotham!

She looks great, but she is boring. In every movie she plays some sexy bad ass chick with a gun, and it would make a batman trilogy terrible. With a remarkable performance from the joker in TDK, angelina would make batman 3 a washed up movie that would probably go straight to dvd. I’m all for having johnny depp as a riddler, as a matter of fact, i don’t even think there should be a catwoman untill later on since bruce just dealt with the death of his love interest Rachel dawes.

They do need a main female role in batman 3, i’m thinking Harley quinn…Reason is that like Craine in batman begins becomes the Scarecrow from Arkum, Harley quinn is Joker’s link to the outside world now from inside Arkum, and turns her just as Evil as he was like he turned Harvey Dent into Two-Face same kind of deal…
I can’t see Catwoman in batman 3 for they’d have to make the whole movie about her…meaning her story line!

The Penguin will make a appearence by the means of arms dealer or some business tycoon, if you research his past his family is rich…
The Riddler will be in it, but a darker version then we have yet to see…

For i think it will end in batman 3 for Caine and Bale signed to do 3 batman movies so that’s a hint…Will they make more after still yet to come, so we’ll see how the third one does!
I love angelina but I really don’t see that working. Kate Beckinsale would be purrfect.They were already in a movie together and had great chemistry so we know they would be very sexy together.

This is exactly why it’s a very bad idea. If they are going to do Catwoman, it needs to be an actress who can act and not someone we see on the cover of every magazine in the aisle at Wal-Mart. It needs to be someone a bit lesser known. Please…we don’t want the third movie to be about eye-candy, we want it to at least attempt to top TDK (which will be next to impossible to do, but I trust Nolan).
P.S. In the topic article it mentions Halle Berry as catwoman, when that movie was not in any way connected to Batman’s Catwoman or the DC Universe (Thank goodness).
I think that would be great! Jolie would be perfect for the role, considering her smoldering and powerful beauty and magnetism, and of course her dangerous and sensuous aura! Let Brad Pitt be the Batman too! Now that would be a great casting coup!
I really wish this discussion thread would die already… I keep getting stupid emails whenever someone replies to it talking about how brilliant Angelina Jolie would be as Catwoman. The fact of the matter is, Angelina Jolie is a terrible actress and at this point is nothing more than tabloid fodder. Any serious acting cred she may have earned in “Hackers” is gone and she would just stand out like a sore thumb among all the other talented real actors in Nolan’s Batman films. For all you fanboys and fangirls that for some reason still find her sexy and just want the eye candy, go rent “Gia” or something and stop encouraging the premature destruction of a great franchise with her horrible horribleness.
Angie would give a much needed rebirth to Catwoman after Berry’s horrible portrayl.

For the last time, Halle Berry’s Catwoman was in no way connected to the Catwoman of the DC Universe or Batman’s Catwoman. They just have the same name. It’s unfortunate people connect that sad portrayal to Batman…I used to be one who did. Just because Jolie is hot doesn’t make her right for this Batman series. I trust Nolan to make the right decision in not casting Jolie as her if Catwoman does end up in the next movie.

Like CW said though Catwoman (the movie with HB) was through an entirely different company and should in no way be associated with the Batman franchise.
Well I would have to say that Angelina doesn’t give me a hard on Marco. I guess that is a good thing though since I am female.
While Angelina might be able to pull it off I do not think it will be good if she gets rail thin again.. There is nothing sexy about skin and bones. Catwoman would need to be curvy like Micheller Pfeiffer was.

I still think Angelina Joli as Catwoman is a HORRIBLE idea. I would love to see Catwoman in the next movie but honestly, Angelina Jolie, I hope not. Angelina is one of the sexiest and greatest actress in our time but I dont think she would fit the role. I think they should forget the whole catwoman thing all together. Everytime catwoman is introduced in the movies it flops. Anyways Angelina should not play catwoman for the fact she is to mainsteam. Her starpower would take away from the whole movie leaving batman taking a backseat to her plublicity. Plus she proably wouldnt be able to concentrate on the role since should would be changing diapers & breastfeeding her new babies between takes. She also would be trying to sleep with Christian Bale since thats what she does with all her co-stars. Milla Jovovich from the resident evil movies would be a good consideration for the role.
First of all, Jolie is not a good actress. Casting her would be on par with the mistake of casting Mrs. Cruise. Second of all, Catwoman’s looks are exotic yet refined. She doesn’t have enormous lips. Also, Jolie has hardly any hips. Catwoman has always had that beautiful hourglass shape. I don’t mean to offend anyone, so don’t take it that way. We all have our imperfections. Catwoman is on a level all her own and it’s going to take someone very special to fill the role. Berry wasn’t really bad for the role, but the script for the spinoff sucked like no other. She still wouldn’t be my first pick either.
