Jay Leno will host his last Tonight Show on May 29, 2009, and on June 1, Conan O’Brien will then take over as the host. The question on people’s minds is, what next for Leno.
NBC are hoping to keep the services of Leno, but Jay Leno has already given indications that he is ready to jump ship. There are a number of other TV Networks all wanting the services of The Tonight Show Host, but what one will be lucky is anyone’s guess.
Ben Silverman and Marc Graboff, NBC Entertainment co-chairmen had been asked about if Leno would be hired by ABC and then overtaking the new host O’Brien in the ratings, they said “We really believe in the decisions we’ve made with our partners, including Jay” and are standing by them.”
O’Brien’s seat on Late Night will be filled by Jimmy Fallon, sometime in either March or April 2009. There are no exact dates as to when O’Brien’s last show will be, but it will be in the first quarter of 2009.
