Four years ago at the Super Bowl we were all witness to a wardrobe malfunction from Janet Jackson, where one of her boobs dropped out. She was on stage performing with Justin Timberlake, when the malfunction happened.
According to The Guardian, CBS television network had to appear in court for a $550,000 (£278,000) indecency fine, but the US federal appeals court dismissed the fine.
When Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson were performing together on stage at the 2004 Super-Bowl, over 90 million viewers witnessed Jackson’s breast popping out. It was not a very nice sight for many viewers, which sparked a huge amount of complaints.
One saving grace was the fact that over her nipple was a star-shaped pasty. It is a sad fact that the 2004 Super-Bowl will always be remembered for Janet Jackson and her breast and not the American Football that took place that day.
In my opinion I think that taking the case to court was a little too far, it was an accident, and was not meant to happen. Why should anybody have to pay for something that is out of their control.
