UK pop and soul singer Estelle has hit back at critics saying that she and record label boss John Legend are not dating. Looks like this girl is not having a romance with an American Boy after all.
It seems that Estelle is angry over the rumor, the 28-year old singer hit back by saying “Stop insulting me with that. It’s like I couldn’t have got where I am because I do good work?”
She goes on to say that she has struggled to get where she is today, she also comments on the fact that just because someone likes her work, does not mean that she is sleeping with them.
Estelle agrees that she and Legend are good friends, but that is as far as it goes. She said “Have respect for me and for him because, obviously, he wouldn’t have signed me if I was sleeping with him.”
Estelle has been working hard for ten years to make a success, now American Boy featuring Kanye West has taken her to the number one spot.
