When I first learned that William Petersen was leaving CSI, I left feeling very unhappy; none of us can deny he makes the show. What would the show be without Gil Grissom, but there could be a light at the end of the tunnel.
We do know that Peterson will make the occasional guest appearances, before you think that the show will then not be worth watching, you should think again.
It seems that Matrix star Laurence Fishburne is in talks with the producers of CSI, to succeed Peterson as the star of the hit crime show. If one guy can help keep the show going, it is Fishburne.
Not much is known at this point, but we believe that Laurence Fishburne will play a doctor/scientist outsider to the CSI. He is said to have the same genetic profile as a serial killer, as yet he has not acted on it.
We reported last month that John Malkovich and Kurt Russell were also in the running for the show, I do hope that Fishburne gets the job.
