The DEA has issued a subpoena to Mary-Kate Olsen; the actress now has to testify in front of a grand jury in the Heath Ledger Death Investigation. This will start more rumors off now, earlier this week Olsen refused to be questioned in the case, unless the federal Drug Enforcement Administration gave her immunity from prosecution.
It seems that the DEA has grown increasingly frustrated with the actress, as she kept refusing to help them with their inquires. This is why they have taken the action to subpoena her.
The DEA are desperate to talk to Olsen as she was the first person called by the masseuse who found Heath Ledger’s body. Federal authorities have questioned a number of people in the investigation of the death of The Dark Knight actor; all have cooperated fully, all except Mary-Kate Olsen.
Olsen’s lawyer refutes claims that his client has not helped the authorities, he has said that Olsen has provided investigators with all “relevant information” regarding Ledger’s death and has “nothing whatsoever to do with the drugs found in Heath Ledger’s home or his body, and she does not know where he obtained them.”
I do hope that this case is over very soon, as Heath Ledger’s family deserves some peace now.
