Federal prosecutors have decided to drop the death inquiry of Heath Ledger; they were pursuing the case as he had obtained painkillers which contributed to his death through an overdose.
The decision to drop the inquiry comes after a weeklong of reports that Mary-Kate Olsen had refused to answer questons to do with his death. Olsen at one stage had even asked for immunity so she would not be prosecuted if she gave evidence.
The DEA had even obtained a subpoena which would have forced Mary-Kate Olsen to give evidence in court.
Rebekah Carmichael, a spokeswoman for the U.S. attorney’s office, said it’s the office’s policy to “neither confirm nor deny the existence of an investigation.” There was no immediate response to a message left for Olsen’s attorney, Michael C. Miller.
The DEA investigators had suspected that the painkillers which were found in Ledgers systems, oxycodone and hydrocodone had been obtained with fake prescriptions or some other sort of illegal means.

I truly hope that the death of Heath Ledger has now come to a close.
subpoena her.
Why is she being so evasive?
What has she got to hide.
I say do it.
She knows more than she is letting on and because she is ‘famous’ she is getting away with it.
