Singer Isaac Hayes has sadly died at his home in Memphis, Tennessee, he was just 65. His wife had found him unconscious next to a moving treadmill, she called the police. Hayes was taken to hospital, where he was then pronounced dead.
As yet the cause of his death is still unknown, but his family believe that his medical condition lead to his death. A police spokesman had said that Isaac Hayes was being treated for a number of medical issues. Hayes had suffered a stroke back in 2006.
Many people of an older age will know Hayes as the singer, who sung the theme tune to Shaft, which he won an Oscar for. People of a younger age will know Hayes more for his voice of the Chef in the cartoon show South Park.
A number of stars have come out to pay their respects to Hayes, British soul star Jazzie B said “he was a really nice man and as cool as ice.”
Isaac Hayes was also an established songwriter, he wrote songs in partnership with David Porter for stars such as Sam and Dave. Together they wrote Hold On, I’m Coming and Soul Man.
This has been a sad week in the world of entertainment, as just a few days ago we lost comedian Bernie Mac.

I was a great fun of Isaac Hayes. I loved most of his songs. His songs have great meaning and he had great voice for them. I will dearly miss him. May his soul rest in peace
