Here are the first photos of Jake Gyllenhaal from the much anticipated movie Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. The film has now been put back till May 28th 2010. The guys over at JustJared managed to get hold of these behind the scenes images.
A few readers from the website have noticed that Gyllenhaal looks more like a warrior, rather than the character that we used to play on our game consoles. The images were taken from behind the scenes in Morocco.
Jake Gyllenhaal, 27, has been spending a lot of time with girlfriend Reese Witherspoon, while filming in Morocco. The couple spent the weekend in the exclusive luxury Moroccan hotel Amanjena.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time sees Gyllenhaal play a young prince in the sixth century Persia. The prince has to join forces with Tamina (Gemma Arterton), a feisty and exotic princess. Together they have to prevent a nobleman from possessing the Sands of Time. This is a gift from the gods which is able to reverse time and would allow the possessor to rule the world.
So what are your thoughts of these first photos of Jake as the Prince?

Reese Witherspoon is Jake’s beard. PR used this opportunity
to promote the movie and the fauxmance. Lame.
This guy is the most annoying actor ever to be on the big screen. Please go away and never come back.
Is it just me or does his torso look totally fake? The magic of Hollywood, you know…
I think he looks great, and he has that Warrior within look, which is great. The only thing he needs is a little workout until they begin shooting, so that he can shape that body like the prince in the games:D.
I think that the actor came out really very well for a first look. It also seems, that director took it right way. Cause I love the Prince trilogy, except of first game – I dont mind story, its ok, but style of game and its playability is terrible. And it seems, that director see it exactly same way.
What’s with this whole, “Playability” not well? You all know if you didn’t enjoy the game that you wouldn’t be here, looking up this trailor and drooling over these half-naked pics. Prince of Persia is the best game ever, right up there w God of War! These pics prob were publicity stunt, and they worked, cus we’re all looking, aren’t we?
