
The public memorial for Bernie Mac, the actor and comedian will be held this Saturday in Chicago. This will be one week after the untimely death of the star. The Memorial is to be held on August 16 at noon, the service will take place at city’s House of Hope church.
The church is able to accommodate up to 10,000 people. Mac died on Saturday after suffering from a long illness of Sarcoidosis, he fell ill the week before with pneumonia and never fully recovered.
Bernie Mac’s family asks that donations be made to the Bernie Mac Foundation for Sarcoidosis.
Movie star Samuel L. Jackson has been speaking of his friend Bernie Mac, he said that he was “one of the preeminent comedians of our generation.” Jackson and Mac co-star in the upcoming movie Soul Men. Jackson has said that Mac’s performance in the movie was “his finest cinematic acting achievement.”

I am 46 years old with sarcodosis it is a alfull there is no cure i am on a lot of meds its sad that Bernie Mac died and now people are getting educated about sarcodosis i suffer everyday i really understand what he went through i pray his family stays strong My prayers are with you Michelle Wadelington

I am 42 living with sarcodosis i have problems with breathing, fatigue, mucas in my lungs. I know how Bernie felt living with this diease. Hopefully one day there will be a cure for sarcodosis. I would like to be a part of his foundation to help and educate others on this diease. Bernie will be deeply missed. My love, support and prayers goes out to his family. Mr. Bernie Mac will be greatly missed. I have enjoyed his Movies, Standups and his TV show. We need to better educate ourselves and others on this diease, there maybe others living with it and think they are alone. I regret that it took someone that we all loved for us to start talking about it. My deepest prayers, love and support to his family. Stay strong GOD BLESS you all.

I am a native of southside of chicago i meet Mr. Mac once and he was the nicest man i’ve meet I’m so sorry for your lost Mrs.Mac and daygther . He will be greatly missed by all .
