The 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics is well and truly under way, for those you who have not had enough time to keep up with all the action, you will catch up on the TV highlights. One thing that most of us want to know is the medal count.
Well the place to view an up to the minute Olympic Medal Count Table has to be Wikipedia. The table has been broken down to rank, nation, gold, silver, bronze and total medals won for that nation.
Wikipedia have used the information that has been provided to them by the International Olympic Committee.
Surprisingly it is China who is leading the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic Medal Count Table, with U.S.A. in second. Sadly Great Britain is down in eighth.
For those of you who are wondering why the U.S. is down in second, they will make a huge comeback once we get to the track and field events. Let us hope that Great Britain can mount an attack on some of those other nations.
For other Olympic News
Based on the latest 2008 Beijing Olympics Medal Count/Tally, China’s medal machine is showing no sign of loosening its grip on the top spot.

It was really great I think a lot of the negative comments may be a result of us having to Live up to it when its our turn. And both those girls deserve a round of applause for there part. Perhapts the Chinese feel we are far to shallow to accept the truth. Even the most hardcore critics should agree a step in the right direction is better than none at all. I personally welcome any effort China makes to improve there relations with the rest of the world. Why would anybody not want that??
