40 Year Old Virgin’s Shelley Malil suspected of attempted murder

Shelley Malil, the actor who appeared in The 40 Year Old Virgin has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. His former girlfriend was stabbed more than 20 times.

Shelley Malil was taken into custody late on Monday; he still remains in custody on $2 million bail in San Diego’s Central Jail. The victim was Kendra Beebe, she is a 35-year old mother of two.

Beebe was in a critical condition on Monday, as yet there are no more updates as to her condition. The Sheriff’s Department said in a statement “Malil and the victim had apparently been in a dating relationship which recently ended.”

Along with starring in The 40-Year Old Virgin, Malil also starred in a 2001 Super Bowl commercial for Budweiser. The actor has made a number of other appearances in top TV shows such as, NYPD Blue” and “Scrubs.”
