When it comes to the Beijing Olympics it seems as if is being dominated by the whole of the Chinese gymnasts, along with Michael Phelps. We knew from the start that Phelps was looking to break the record for the amount of gold’s won in an Olympics and it looks as though he is in on target. He has won three so far, so he is on target.
The Chinese gymnasts have won gold in the finals team event; they were seven points clear of Japan who were the 2004 winners. The United States managed to take the Bronze.
So far Phelps now has a total of nine Olympic gold medals; he is now tied with four others for the most gold medals.
The Chinese gymnasts are also impressive, they have won three straight world titles and seven of the last eight, 10 individual world titles and now, after a collapse at Athens, a second Olympic team gold.
