It has now been almost three decades since Chapman had shot former Beatle Lennon on a Manhattan sidewalk.

Back on December 20, 1980, Mark David Chapman fired five shots outside John Lennon’s apartment building. Lennon was hit four times in front of his wife Yoka Ono.

Mark David Chapman has been in prison for 27 years now since he pleaded guilty to the murder of the singer. Chapman had said that he murdered Lennon just to gain attention. Chapman became eligible for parole back in 2000 after serving 20 years inside.

According to Peter Shukat, Ono’s lawyer, she was very pleased with the parole board’s decision. Fifty people had sent letters to the parole board with 1,100 people signing a petition, against the decision to release the Chapman.

It’s not surprising that this disgusting waste of human brain has been denied parole. If he ever gets out of prison, it’s unlikely he will survive anyway. The people of Liverpool don’t forget so easy. He won’t feel so clever and confident with a city of people tracking him down. Let him free at his own peril – that sounds pathetic but the reality won’t be so pathetic. See you soon Mark, we owe you one mate!
