
When it comes to fitness no one can deny what great shape Michael Phelps is in, this is down to his exercise regime and his diet. What most of us would like to know is what does he eat on his strict diet.
You will be surprised to learn that the Olympic gold winning swimmer eats a lot of pasta and pizza, these are full of carbs. In his bid to beat Mark Spitz’s gold medal record, Phelps is also trying to get a little bit extra time in bed. Michael has been grabbing at least an extra half hour in bed in the morning; well it seems to be working.
Michael Phelps quest for the highest gold medal tally at an Olympic Games has got off to a flying start. His first gold at Beijing came easy to him; his second was more of a struggle in the 4×100 relay race. That race was thrilling, the American team was behind and it was one of the greatest comebacks I have seen for years.
Phelps also won another gold today; he showed just how far he is ahead of the rest of the field. Just five more to go, but things are set to get tougher from here as his body starts to tire more.
Well looks like he will be back at camp tonight eating more Pizza and Pasta just to build his energy levels back of for Wednesday’s 200 fly final.
