World records are falling all around U.S. swimmer Michael Phelps; he is beating world records and has now become the greatest Olympiad of all time. Phelps has now won two gold’s on Wednesday making five for the Beijing Olympics.

Phelps has just three more to go to beat the record of most gold’s at an Olympic Games, one which has been held since 1972 by Mark Spitz. In his career Michael Phelps has now won a total of 11 gold’s he still has three more events left to beat Spitz.

Phelps has said “There is still something left in the tank, I’ve got three races left, so there had better be something left in the tank.”

Phelps won the 200-metre butterfly beating his old record time of 1:52.09 with a new world record time of 1:52.03. Later he was helping the United States team’s win in the 4×200 freestyle relay. They sent a new record of 6:58.56, making the Americans the first team to break the seven minute barrier.
