
Two-time NBA All-Star Kevin Duckworth who was a star of the Trail Blazers has sadly died. He passed away on Monday; as yet the cause of his death is unknown.
Duckworth was a member of the Trail Blazers from 1986 to 1993, the seven foot giant was known to his fans as Duck. He also played for a number of other NBA teams, such as the Los Angeles Clippers, Milwaukee and the San Antonio. This was all in his 11-year NBA career.
Trail Blazers President Larry Miller said “Today is an extremely sad day for the Trail Blazers family, Kevin will be remembered by fans as one of the most popular and recognizable players to ever wear the Blazers uniform, but to people who knew him, he’ll be remembered as one of the warmest and biggest-hearted.”
After his playing career ended Duckworth stayed in the Portland area, he was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman, and he was also a skilled carpenter. One the cause of death has been established then memorial services will then be announced.
