Mark Kotsay close to Boston Red Sox deal

Mark Kotsay, the brave center is so close to a deal with The Boston red Sox, rumors are all over the net as the trade must happen before Sunday. This is the deadline for setting the postseason rosters.

All the signs are there that the trade will happen as the Red Sox bid to acquire Kotsay have cleared waivers, for a mid-level prospect. A major-league baseball source has said that the hold up with the deal is the fact that the teams have not yet agreed on the player.

It seems as if it is not just The Boston Red Sox who are interested in Mark Kotsay, the Phillies have also drawn their interest in the player also.

The Red Sox now have a tough decision to make, should they place right fielder J.D. Drew on the disabled list, as the player is suffering from a back problem. The red Sox had better act fast as Sunday is fast approaching.
