Lara Logan has come a long way in a short amount of time; just 7 years ago she was a war correspondent for UK morning TV show GMTV. Now she is the Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent for CBS News.
When I watched her all those years ago I never assumed that she was just your average correspondent, but it just shows with some hard work you can achieve so much better.
Lara Logan, while working for GMTV was reporting in Afghanistan in November 2001. She impressed me in how she was able to infiltrate the U.S. and U.K. backed Northern Alliance, who was fighting the Taliban.
When there she interviewed Commander General Babajan at Bagram Air Base. Logan spent the next four years in Afghanistan; she would often travel an embedded reporter with American forces.
It must have been this determination to report the news in a harsh environment that got her the job with CBS.
