Most people do not recognize the name Don Lafontaine, but he is one of the most well known people in Hollywood. He is not known for his face but instead his voice; yep he was the movie trailer voiceover man. Sadly he has died aged just 68.

His voice has to be one of the most recognizable, not only in America but the whole of the world. When you want to sell a movie to the public, there was only ever one man that people called, Don Lafontaine.

Sadly Don passed away on Monday following complications from Pneumothorax; this is the presence of air or gas in the pleural cavity, the result of a collapsed lung. Lafontaine has lent his voice to over 5,000 movies.

Goodbye Don Lafontaine, I will truly miss you. The movie world will never be the same again.
